Malocas Lodge - 3 Days and 2 Nights

Day 1
|
Pick up at the hotel at 08:30 am and head by highway to Rio Preto da Eva Village, 80 km away from Manaus. From Rio Preto da Eva village, we will take a motorized canoe and go down the Rio Preto for a couple of hours until we reach the Malocas lodge on the Igarapé do Cinza. After all the guests are settled into their accommodation, we will have lunch. After lunch, we will start our activities by taking a canoe ride through the igarapés (creeks) to see the luxuriant vegetation and possibly spot some birds until we reach the Caboclo's manioc farm.
At the Caboclo's farm we will learn about the way they have adapted to the jungle and how they live off nature. In the afternoon we will take canoes along the river for Piranha fishing.
Dinner at the lodge. Right after dusk, we depart in search of alligators. The guide spots the alligator with a powerful torch, and then carefully approaches and grabs it with his bare hands. After the explanation about this interesting reptile, the guide will release it. Overnight in the lodge. |

Day 2
|
| After breakfast, the guide will take us to the jungle for 3 or 4 hours of hiking, with explanation of the various uses of many plants, including those with medicinal properties. At the end of the hike, we will reach a waterfall where we stop to rest and have a refreshing shower. From the waterfall, we head back to the jungle lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, canoe riding through the Igapós and Igarapés. Dinner. After dinner we will enjoy the night sounds of the many animals that make this their home. |

Day 3
|
| After breakfast we will take the canoe and then a short hike to a second waterfall. Here we can swim and explore the nearby areas. Then we return to the lodge for lunch, and then the return trip to Manaus, with an expected arrival around 7 pm with the drop off to the hotel or airport. |

Accommodation

| The accommodation in the jungle lodge is in
a private room with a bed. |
Activities
|
| Piranha fishing, alligator spotting, jungle
hiking, canoe riding, visit Caboclos, swimming,
and waterfalls. Activities on this tour can be
customized for individuals, families, groups,
students, adventurers or those who want just to
enjoy nature in the Amazon. Activities may vary
with daily weather conditions and season. |
Lodge Amenities

area facing the river, reception area, kitchen,

Departure
|
| Visitors are picked up early in the morning
at their hotel and then travel by bus to the Rio
Preto da Eva Village. From the village we will
take a two hour motorized canoe trip to the
jungle lodge at the Igarapé do Cinza - Rio Preto
da Eva (River). |

What to bring
